In this Tutorial Jake will show you how to place and merge a basic texture with skin.
Step 1
open your image’s one of a person of your choice and one of a texture of your choice,(its best to have cracked mud or flaky paint textures) then simply move the texture image onto the persons skin area.
Step 2
Then quickly flick through the modes to get a desired look, i chose soft light, you may want to bring the opacity down if to much of the texture is coming through. pay around with these and see what you get. practice make perfect!
Step 3
sometimes its best to desaturate the layer ( ctrl + shift + U) this can bring the color down quite a bit if to much color is getting through. next you erase by the parts you don’t want the texture over, in my case the eyes nose and lips.
Step 4
Here is the final image I set my eraser to 30% opacity and took/ lightened some of the darker lines. so the “veins” around her mouth show through more.
